Kathleen has quite a bit more training than I'd say your casual observer.
She's an amateur astronomer, and she knows celestial bodies,
what should be in the sky, what shouldn't.

So when she says this is unlike anything that she's witnessed, that's what I take notice of.

Kathleen Hill has lived on Catalina for decades and her routine observations ...at the island's night skies have led to some startling sightings... both in the skies and below the seas.

Kathleen, thank you for joining us. As you know, we're looking into the phenomena that's happened around the island. I understand that you've been seeing strange lights for years.

Oh gosh. I'd seen them at least five or six times.

The first time in 2007 or 2008, my kids and I were eating dinner.
We were looking out the window and we're like, whoa, look at those orange lights.

And there were three, like, a pyramid. And they just stayed in the same spot.
This went on for a good 50 minutes, and then they just went out.

They didn't, like, fly away. They didn't do anything. They were right there in the same spot. And then they just went out.

No movement whatsoever. Just stationary in the sky.
