Unknown persons have set fire to the Orthodox church and synagogue in the city of Darbend in Russian Republic of Dagestan, local Telegram channels reported. Two people were reportedly killed and several others were injured during the incident. In addition, a traffic police post was shelled in the city of Makhachkala, as a result of which one police officer was killed and 6 people were injured. According to some sources, a total of 5 police officers were killed and 9 people were injured during the attack. An operation is underway to arrest the perpetrators.
