Psalms 23:1 states that the LORD is the shepherd, and we shall not want for anything. God restores our soul and leads us in righteousness for his name's sake. We are saved by hope, which is well grounded and encouraged through our relationship with Jesus and experiences.

Jesus is our shepherd, and we must not want for anything. He takes great care of believers, and we have every right to call Him so. David, who was a shepherd himself, experienced the cares and tender affections of a good shepherd towards his flock. Jesus also exemplifies this sentiment in John 10:11.

God is the shepard of Israel, the shepherd of the whole church, and the body of Christ. He takes care of his people, protects them, and provides for them. If God is our shepherd, we must be like sheep, meek, quiet, useful, and sociable. We must be faithful to God and his teachings, and we must strive to be like the sheep in the Lord's eyes.
