‘That Is an Absurd Assertion!’ MSNBC Host Shuts Down Guest Who Claimed Democrats Want Abortions

The president of a conservative think tank claimed that liberals want abortion to be legal “until three days after the person’s born.”

Dr. Kevin Roberts of the Heritage Foundation joined Saturday’s installment of The Weekend, where host Symone Sanders-Townsend asked him about abortion. The issue is top of mind this year, in what is the first presidential election since the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade and the constitutional right to abortion. Since then, several states have banned the procedure and many Republicans have been clamoring for a national ban.

The Heritage Foundation has been pushing a series of policy proposals known as Project 2025, which they hope will be enacted if Donald Trump returns to the White House.
