We Are Reconciled to God Through Jesus

Are you someone who has started down the path in committing your life to Christ and then suddenly found yourself drifting farther and farther away from Him? Seeing your relationship growing colder and colder. Are you distracted by everyday life or getting involved in the life your friends and family are living? Today's distractions can be overwhelming especially when it comes to your job, raising your kids, establishing your alone time and keeping everyone moving in the same direction without losing your mind.

Unfortunately in today's environment this has become the normal way of life for many people. If you were to sacrifice any one thing on your to-do-list what would it be? In most cases people will read God's word less often and dedicate less time meditating on God's word and studying the principles that are exposed to us in His word. It seems the closer we get to God the more the distractions seem to increase in our lives.

But God, God's word has answers to the problems and frustrations we go through on a daily basis. His word is filled with instructions on how to get through the distractions and trials we are experiencing. All it takes is dedicating the time required to seek the Lord, pray, read His word and listen to Him. Trust in His word and be obedient to how He is instructing us to live.

An important characteristic of God is His ability to be patient. He will wait for each one of us to return to what He has called us to do. And that calling is to serve Him with all our strength. To be faithful and obedient, to glorify Him in all that we do. If you find yourself falling away there is absolutely good news!

The good news is that it is never too late to reconcile with God as someone who has fallen away. This also applies to someone who is wanting to develop a close personal relationship with God for the first time. As someone who has fallen away He is patiently waiting for you to come back to Him.

The prodigal son is a great example of God waiting for each one of us. As someone who wants to develop a new relationship with God it is important to recognize that as Christians we should live in God's character, God's principles, sharing His ideas and in living in His Spirit. God wants us to be close to Him, to love Him, to glorify Him, to live with Him. God desires that all mankind live with Him for eternity. Remember, He did not create man for only a select few but for all and that means you and me.

A change in our life is required in order to be reconciled to God through Jesus Christ. God expects that we will want to be more in the likeness of His Son Jesus in dedicating our time with Him and living the biblical principles as described in the bible. Our happiness is dictated by our reconciliation in our relationships. It requires reflection, repentance and resolution. God will not force you to reconcile to Him. He will patiently wait and in most cases give you warnings as you go through life to do so.

Remember Jesus was born without sin but in order to glorify God and complete God's perfect salvation plan, Jesus was made sin just so we may participate in God's righteousness. To live a better more fruitful life with meaning and purpose.

My prayer is that those who have fallen away see the light and come to know Jesus even more. That the world's distractions will not dissuade you from becoming the person God created you to be. I pray that you hear God's voice and His calling while recognizing the sacrifice that only Jesus could have made for you and I to reconcile our lives to God the Father. I pray that we would no longer be distracted by life or the things that are not important to God and that we would live richly in Christ for the rest of our days into eternity with the Triune God. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ I pray these things. In Jesus Mighty Name Amen! Amen!
