All bearded dragon owners know they need soaking from time to time. You may wonder why this lizard's owner put the hat on his forehead... Hey it's not just for fun! That can help making him calm and stay comfortably. Also, water dropper is really a good tool for soaking.

What makes this clip that much cooler is that the human has made all the necessary arrangements to make his pet’s spa day that much more pleasurable. They even ‘hanged’ a nice still life painting, in lizard size, to make the whole thing that much more enjoyable. It seems to be working, because that critter did not move a muscle!

It might seem redundant, seeing how they don’t have fur or plumage that might get dirty, but bearded dragons actually do need a good hygiene routine. Consistent baths are crucial part of it. You need to set up a bath that is the right temperature and the water should not go past its “knees”.

Never use soaps or detergents, as the lizard might take a few sips from the water during the bath. Use dechlorinated tap water and gently splash your pet with it. You can use a cup, or like in this case, a pipette.

Allow the dragon to have some fun in the water while you are at it. Most bearded dragons love water and will enjoy the nice dip. A good soak is between 15 and 20 minutes, so that the water might help with shedding skin.
