“The Marriage Relationship” - Ephesians 6
Marriage between a man and woman is a blessing from God, and has significance that goes way beyond that of a worldly relationship. Continuing in our verse-by-verse study through the book of Ephesians called “Nearness”, Pastor Tim teaches a message from Chapter 5 entitled “The Marriage Relationship” that focuses on the reasons why the responsibilities a husband and wife have to each other has greater meaning. A wife should submit to her husband because….1) it shows her respect for the Lord, 2) God holds the man responsible for the condition of the family, and 3) marriage is a reflection of the relationship between Christ and the Church. A husband should love his wife because…1) it shows his will is aligned with the Father, and 2) she is a part of who he is, and 3) marriage is a reflection of the relationship between Christ and the Church. We hope this message serves as a reminder that you are part of the bride of Christ, and if you are married to embrace your role for the holy privilege it is!
