Credible's Classic Matches - Cardiff City v Chester City (1995)

A classic match from the end of the 1994-95 season, with Cardiff City's finances struggling and a takeover imminent with the Kumar brothers in attendance (both still remind me of the Milliband brothers - and not just looks-wise!)

A time of transition on and off the park, and a sign of what was to come post the Rick Wright era.

Although the finances were stable, it would take three more seasons for the Bluebirds to turn the corner and for the good times to come back after an otherwise flat period.

Back to the match and Chester City had little to play for - bottom of the league and struggling themselves, they hoped desperately to at least get something from this encounter at Ninian Park.
