Israelis took to the streets against the Netanyahu government, accusing him of playing politics over hostages held by Hamas in Gaza. Protesters chanted anti-Netanyahu slogans, blaming him for the failure to ensure the safe return of hostages held in Gaza since October 7, 2023. The protesters also clashed with the police as they tried to stop the demonstrators from turning violent. Protesters said that the only way to bring about a change is to kick this government out.
