Starmer's Labour running scared of voters!

Right, so it takes a special kind of arrogance, of conceit to expect to win power, expect to win your vote when presenting a manifesto that is barely any different from that of the Tories, but to then go out of their way to avoid you, avoid answering your questions, simple not turn up to arranged events or actually run away from you in the street, but such is the case with Starmer’s Labour and his candidates, either unwilling or unable to answer difficult questions we the voting public want answers too, seemingly banking on just not being the Tories to secure enough votes to win their seats or win them back again. So it’d be a rotten shame to point some of this behaviour out and ask you is your vote worth so little to you, that these absolute waste of skins are still going to get it from you?
Right, so a bit of footage there to begin with, there’s a lot more covering the circumstances of that first incident, where Starmer’s Shadow Paymaster General Jonathan Ashworth wasn’t very keen to answer questions from his constituents there was he? Leicester South, Ashworth’s constituency, is the 15th most populous amongst Muslims in this country, so the fact he was being questioned by a group of Muslims there, shouldn’t be a surprise, nearly 1 in 3 people in the constituency are Muslim, so to be running away from them when they want to ask you about why you abstained on that ceasefire vote back in November of last year, where Starmer whipped his MPs to abstain, backing humanitarian pauses, which were anything but humanitarian, when it meant getting aid in and allowing Israel to resume the killing in Gaza afterwards. Starmer lost 10 frontbenchers that day, people who resigned the party whip to vote for a ceasefire, but Ashworth wasn’t one of them. Muslim lives seen as worth less than Jewish ones as it came across and with Labour’s hierarchy of racism still prevalent, still being talked about, and Starmer’s continued support for Israel seemingly unshakable, the Israel Lobby did heavily invest in him, the former Board of Deputies president has just joined his party, I think Muslims across the country have the right to put tough questions to their Labour would-be parliamentary representatives particularly when it comes to the matter of Israel and Gaza and thus proving beyond doubt that it very much is an election issue, especially I daresay in areas with strong Muslim communities, but not exclusively so.
Ashworth represents one such area, and he ran away, ran away from people who were just asking questions of him, but instead of answering questions, Ashworth decided to record himself on his phone and try to make political capital out of what was happening, make a tiktok or some such implying he was being bullied and intimidated and he wasn’t going to let these people win, that he was going to stand up to ‘these bullies’ as he ignored them and tried to walk away from them, telling the people of Leicester South that he is not going to be bullied, and then went with ‘if you don’t want these people to win the election, if you don’t want the bullies and the loudmouths to win this election, then you need to come out and vote against it.’
Against what Mr Ashworth? Muslim people asking questions about your party’s support for Israel? That’s what it sounds like you were saying to me? Refusal to back a ceasefire that means something? A vote for you is a vote against that? Attacking a demographic that makes up a third of your constituency base? I’d suggest you’re asking for a resounding political pasting at the polls? Get out and vote absolutely, I think more people after watching that would be inclined to vote against you not for you if the issue of Gaza is an important one to them.
Who are the sort of people responding to Ashworth and defending him from this ‘attack’ then though? You can guess who he’s attracting by it, as the likes of Tommy Robinson came out of the woodwork to defend a white man from Muslims, though he gloated about Labour’s chickens coming home to roost for abandoning the working class for the Muslim vote, a bit rich coming from Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, wonderful working class name there I’m sure, but you’re no more a representative of the working class than Jacob Rees Mogg or Nigel Farage are sunshine.
Ashworth wasn’t the only Labour MP to have done a runner and sought to evade questioning though.
The latter part of that video clip was less clear as to who it was about, someone getting into their car to beat a hasty retreat from questioning and that was Liam Byrne, he of the infamous there’s no money left note left in the treasury in 2010. He is the MP for Birmingham Hodge Hill, which has the title of being the most Muslim constituency in the country, where 62.4% of the population identify as Muslim and they too wanted answers about Gaza and Palestine and how Byrne had voted on what is a very important issue to a lot of people, but it does especially touch Muslims in this country, wanting to know what Labour and their representatives are doing to win their votes and support their fellow Muslim brothers and sisters in Gaza and the rest of Palestine and levelling these questions at a party that they have supported heavily as a demographic nationwide, a party now led and seen to be overtly pro Zionist despite what Israel is doing to their fellow Muslims and it is no wonder heavily Muslim constituencies are seen to be amongst the most vulnerable to Labour right now, having taken that Muslim vote for granted and offered nothing in return for it, still refusing to take a stance against Israel, only promising to review the legal advice the outgoing Tory government, certain to be dumped out of power, have refused to make public. Labour are saying they’ll review arms sales, but Labour under Starmer says a lot of things and its whether after all the lies that Starmer has told over the last 4 years, you’re still prepared to trust him on such matters, because once he’s had your vote, it’ll be too late to question it after.
Other MPs have been dodging scrutiny as well of course.
Bradford West MP Naz Shah was also out door knocking last week and was caught on camera with a local resident attempting to question her, again over Gaza, saying no genocide here. Shah is herself Muslim, so for me this exemplifies the electoral bond between Muslim communities and the Labour Party, when in this instance their representative is Muslim as well, is well and truly broken and continuing to break down around the country.
With other Labour candidates, it isn’t so much being caught on the doorstep, as just running away from scrutiny that should be incensing voters.
Let’s go back to Birmingham again as an example of this, as Workers Party of Britain candidate Jody McIntyre put out a photo, showing how a local hustings in Birmingham Yardley had resulted in the incumbent Labour MP Jess Phillips being empty chaired, but also empty chairing the Tory and Reform UK candidates, three right wingers all running away in another constituency with a significant Muslim population. McIntyre casually used the empty seats next to him as somewhere to keep his walking stick, frankly the stick would probably be a better candidate than anyone who would have sat in any of those empty chairs would have been anyway!
Someone else dodging local hustings is Luke Akehurst up in North Durham. Nothing should be telling people for whom Gaza has become an electoral issue that Labour won’t be shifting it’s stance under Starmer on these issues than the candidacy and parachuting into a safe seat of probably the biggest Zionist in the Labour Party today, a literal paid lobbyist for Israel, becoming an MP where he can push Israeli interests into law, which is precisely why he awarded himself this safe seat despite coming from Oxford. Well just as local Labour members refuse to be seen with him campaigning, he’s refusing to show up to a hustings still at time of writing being held next Saturday in Lanchester. From what I’ve been told he is literally the only candidate to not have agreed to it.
But let’s not forget Keir Starmer either. The guy who would be our next prime Minister is a man who for some of his constituents, he hasn’t been seen locally for years and even now is avoiding any local scrutiny at all, by spending his way it seems to avoid it.
According to analysts at Who Targets Me? Labour is spending more cash on digital advertising campaigning in Starmer’s own constituency than in any other, in fact he’s outspending the Tories in every seat they are running ads in too and in a bigger problem the analysts have highlighted, is the style of ads being run in not only Starmer’s patch, but a great many other constituencies ad campaigns are being run in – the ads are not about Labour, are not about what Labour is standing for, but about Starmer.
In case Labour hadn’t noticed, pushing Starmer as a selling point when his personal approval ratings languish around -31 is akin to putting lipstick on a pig. We saw the same thing with Labour’s manifesto, with Starmer on the cover, not Labour or the Labour Party, just him and the word change and the manifesto itself features dozens of photos of Starmer inside too. Is this Labour thinking Starmer is a selling point, or is Starmer so inadequate and insecure, he feels the need for the party election campaign to be made all about promoting him above all else? Either way, that doesn’t extend to turning up at hustings or being seen by those people who will be casting a vote for him.
Labour is running away from scrutiny around the country and still thinks it deserves your vote. As I asked before, is your vote therefore worth so little that you’ll give it without it being earned?
Labour’s hierarchy of racism seemingly in no small part is playing out throughout this General Election campaign, Muslim voters taken more for granted in light of Israel and Gaza in particular, but of course we knew this already thanks to the findings of the Forde Report. Did you know that Starmer’s Labour had threatened legal action against Martin Forde KC the author though accusing him of being excessively negative in his findings and daring to speak to the media about it? What utter authoritarian control freaks! Find out about that story that has come out in the last few days in this video recommendation here and I’ll hopefully catch you on the next vid. Cheers folks
