XDefiant Phantom Ultra Shield Glitch/Bug

While playing XDefiant my ultra shield bugged and stayed active for the duration of the match. Once I noticed this, I tried to not abuse it and the opponents eventually learned how to kill me. Not sure if this is a common glitch/bug but it happened when I activated the shield at the same time I died. Respawned with the shield and my normal gun. Eventually they broke the shield but even though it disappeared visually, the function remained. This occurred on a PlayStation 5.
