Top US State Dept Official for Israel Palestine Affairs Resigns

A senior US Department of State official and expert on Israeli-Palestinian affairs, Andrew Miller, resigned this week, citing personal reasons, amidst the ongoing conflict in Gaza that has claimed the lives of over 37,400 Palestinians. Miller, the deputy assistant secretary for Israeli-Palestinian affairs, told colleagues that he wanted to spend more time with his family, as the conflict had become all-consuming since its start in October.
