AI frightens me and here's why.

Microsoft rolled out an update called 24h2 and this runs something called Copilot. Copilot is the replacement for Cortana. Part of copilot is a software feature called Recall.

Recall takes a picture of what you do on your computer every five seconds and runs in the background. The screen shots are stored locally as well as online. Why does Microsoft need to know about what you do on your computer? Why does Microsoft need to know about your every mouse click?

Trying to explain the dangers of this is like a heart surgeon telling you to quit eating bacon because it makes you fat. People will do what they want to do and if they wish to eat bacon and lots of said bacon, they suffer their own fate in the form of a heart attack.

Embracing the internet of things is like someone who refuses to listen to medical advice when they are told not to eat bacon.
