Tensions between Israel and Lebanon-based Hezbollah are rising. Both Israel and Hezbollah have been trading fire for the past several months, but now the strikes have intensified. On Thursday, Israel launched fresh strikes into Lebanon. Hezbollah retaliated by launching dozens of rockets into Northern Israel. Hezbollah chief Hasan Nasarallah has warned Israel against such attacks. Israel remains unfazed by these threats, claiming it is ready for an "all-out war" in Lebanon. Israel is already engaged in a full-blown war with Hamas in Gaza. However, compared to Hamas, Hezbollah has bigger arsenal and assistance of allies like Iran, Russia and Syria. Hezbollah sees its cross-border attacks as a means to convey its support for Hamas. Only a ceasefire in Gaza can put an end to these hostilities, which is still nowhere in sight.
