State treasurer Dale Folwell, a stalwart two-term conservative fiscal steward, must be a tad terrorized late. The Wake County district attorney asked the State Bureau of Investigation to look into the treasurer’s use of state-issued vehicles. It is not as if Folwell is suspected of using the vehicles for lavish beach and mountain getaways. He is not accused of operating a vehicle while impaired (which brought out Democrat state auditor Beth Wood in 2022).

The Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion was abolished during the previous academic year by new Sandhills Community College president, Sandy Stewart. But that did not dissuade one or more college administrators from collaborating with the Moore County Chamber of Commerce, and several other community entities, on a DEI symposium scheduled for August 15, 2024, in the Bradshaw Performing Arts Center on their Sandhills campus.

Tajikistan might sound like the name of a fictional country in a Hollywood film. But it is an actual sovereign nation in Central Asia, and it seems to be emerging as a new training ground for Islamic terrorism. It shares a northern border with Afghanistan, a terrorism hotbed abandoned by the Biden regime when U.S. troops were shipped out and our military equipment and weaponry were left behind in 2021.

The Wall Street Journal’s editorial board took a deep dive into federal spending numbers. The outlook is grim. The Biden regime and compliant Democrats will be running a $2 trillion deficit in 2024 — $400 billion more than was projected as recently as February 2024.

The publisher Penguin Random House handed Anthony Fauci a big contract ($5 million, reported by The Independent last year) to write his memoir. And now we can expect a book tour during which the Left’s surrogates will fawn over Fauci’s “brilliant handling” of the 2020-23 pandemic, which enriched pharmaceutical companies, destroyed the American economy, and subjected healthy young adults to an experimental COVID-19 jab that has had a devastating effect on their short-term health.
