In this episode, I planned on fishing early morning with topwater baits while moving offshore in the late morning to cast deep crankbaits. The bite started quickly when a keeper largemouth devoured my buzzbait within a few feet of the boat! I also caught a non-keeper shortly later on a swim jig. Meanwhile, Jeff hooked a keeper largemouth on a Texas-rigged worm! Eventually, we moved offshore but didn’t get any bites and decided to revisit shallow water. That’s when an 18.5” smallmouth choked on my squarebill crankbait! Enjoy!
