Elephants are highly intelligent 😊

Scientists have discovered that elephants give each other names 🐘

They analyzed hundreds of recordings from Kenya in which elephants called each other. Using machine learning, they were able to identify the names of individual individuals. Then they played them to the elephants and noticed that they clearly responded to specific names.

Next, scientists plan to learn how to talk to elephants in order to warn them about danger and poachers.
