Dr. Daniele Ganser: 75 Jahre NATO - no reason to celebrate
The NATO was founded on April 4, 1949 in Washington and is now 75 years old. This is not a reason to celebrate. Because NATO is a military alliance. It is misleading that NATO is referred to in most media as a "defensive alliance". In 1999, various NATO countries conducted an illegal attack on Serbia. In 2001, individual NATO countries attacked Afghanistan. In 2003, NATO countries attacked Iraq. In 2011, NATO countries dropped bombs on Libya. In 2014, NATO countries bombarded Syria. Currently, NATO has 32 member states. NATO is led by the USA. The Supreme Commander of NATO is always a US general. The NATO eastward expansion was a breach of word towards Russia and has destabilized Europe. The illegal invasion of Russia into Ukraine in 2022 is a reaction to the US attempt to draw Ukraine into NATO and set up NATO missiles on the border of Russia. Historical data shows that NATO creates not peace, but insecurity.
