Believing that the future will be no more stressful than the present may aid procrastinators in accomplishing more.
According to new research from the University of Tokyo, individuals who maintain an optimistic view of the future are less prone to severe procrastination. While procrastinators frequently criticize themselves for their “bad habit,” it appears that their concerns about the future are a more significant factor. A survey involving nearly 300 young individuals revealed that those who anticipated a reduction in stress levels in the future, compared to the past or present, were less likely to struggle with severe procrastination.
