160 ml warm milk (below 36°C)
50 g (5 tablespoons) sugar
6 g (1 tablespoon) instant dry yeast
1 egg at room temperature
6 g (2 teaspoons) salt
40 g unsalted butter at room temperature

300 ml milk
30 g (3 tablespoons) cornstarch

In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, and salt.
Add the egg and activated yeast to the dry ingredients and knead the dough.

Cover the bowl with a clean towel and let the dough rise in a warm place for 1-1.5 hours, or until it doubles in size.

Divide the dough into 10 equal parts and shape them into balls.
Make a hole in the center of each ball and stretch it to form a donut shape.
Place the donuts on a baking sheet, cover them with a towel, and let them proof for 20-30 minutes for the second fermentation.
Repeat the proofing once more to make the donuts fluffier and more airy.
