"Overcoming the Evil, Daily Wrestle with Mammon, Part 2" - David W Palmer

How to Overcome the Evil Daily Wrestle with Mammon
1. Choose the right investment bank
2. Choose the right focus
3. Choose the right master
4. Choose the right objective
5. Choose the right weapons
6. Choose to fight
7. Choose the easy way to win

4. Choose the Right Objective

(Matthew 6:31–34 DKJV) “So don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ or, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘What will we wear?’ (32)—for the Gentiles seek all these things. For your heavenly Father knows you need all these things. (33) But seek first the kingdom of God (word of God), and his righteousness (show, revelation); and all these things will be added to you as well. (34) Therefore, do not be distracted by anxious thoughts about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself: sufficient to each day is its own evil.”

5. Choose the Right Weapons
(2 Corinthians 10:3–4 NLT) We are human, but we don't wage war as humans do. {4} We use God's mighty weapons, not worldly weapons, to knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy false arguments.

Put on God’s Armour and Use it

(Ephesians 6:10–18 NKJV)

Firm Foundation Footing

(Matthew 7:24–27 DKJV) “Therefore, whoever hears these words of mine, and does them, will be like a wise man who built his house on [the solid] rock. (25) The rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, for it had its foundation on [the solid] rock. (26) And every one that hears these words of mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. (27) The rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, and it fell; and great was its downfall.”

(Ephesians 6:11–13 MKJV) Put on the whole armour of God, so that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil … and having done all, to stand.

(Matthew 16:18 KJV) “Upon the rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”

Resist with Spiritual Force
(Matthew 11:12 ESV) “From the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven has suffered violence, and the violent take it by force.”

(Matthew 11:12 DKJV) “From the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven forcefully advances and the forceful try to seize it back by force.”
Peter, had some experience with this, so he wrote:

(1 Peter 5:8 NLT) Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour.

(1 Peter 5:8 CEV) Be on your guard and stay awake. Your enemy, the devil, is like a roaring lion, sneaking around to find someone to attack.

(1 Peter 5:9 NKJV) Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world.

6. Choose to Fight
(Matthew 4:1–4 ESV) Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. (2) And after fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. (3) And the tempter came and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, command these stones to become loaves of bread.” (4) But he answered, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”

(James 4:7 EMTV) Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.

(1 Peter 5:8–9 EMTV) Be sober, be watchful; your adversary the devil walks about as a roaring lion, seeking someone he may devour. Resist him, being steadfast in your faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world.

7. Choose the Easy Way

(Matthew 11:30 EMTV) “For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
