One of the co-authors of the controversial Louisiana Ten Commandments bill derailed her interview on CNN by going after anchor Boris Sanchez.
A new Republican-backed law requires public schools in Louisiana to display a poster of the Ten Commandments in all classrooms from kindergarten up to the university level. The state’s Governor Jeff Landry (R) signed the bill into law on Wednesday.
Louisiana State Rep. Lauren Ventrella (R) joined Sanchez for an interview on Thursday to discuss her support for the bill. Sanchez pressed Ventrella by noting the U.S. was founded as a secular country, adding that it was “an amalgamation of cultures…and different faiths.”
