20.06.24 - The Pacific Fleet units complete deployment as part of the planned bilateral exercise. Ship tactical groups of the formation guarding water area of the joint command of the units and troops in the North-East of Russian departed from the base of operations after practising withdrawal of forces from the attack of the mock enemy in Kamchatka. During a drill to cross a mine-threatened area, the trawlers ensured that detachments of ships followed behind the sweeps.

The Naval Aviation started performing practical tasks according to the drills' plans. The Tu-142MZ, Il-38, Il-38N anti-submarine aircraft took off to perform additional reconnaissance to search for submarines and ships of potential enemy at sea.

Previously, units of the Primorsky Flotilla of the Joint Forces of the Pacific Fleet have been deployed in designated areas in the Sea of Japan.

The planned bilateral exercise takes place from 18 to 28 June in the waters of Pacific Ocean, Sea of Japan, and Sea of Okhotsk under leadership of the Pacific Fleet commander Admiral Victor Liina. Up to 40 ships, motorboats, logistic vessels, and 20 aircraft and helicopters of the Pacific Fleet Naval Aviation. The exercise also involves units of the Pacific Fleet Marines, and crews of the Bal and Bastion coastal missile systems. Source
