The first and ONLY photos taken ON Venus

These were the first and only photos taken directly on the surface of Venus. No other country has successfully landed a probe on Venus and captured surface photos. The extreme conditions on Venus, including temperatures over 450°C and crushing atmospheric pressure, make it extremely challenging for spacecraft to survive on the surface long enough to take photos.
