19 June 2024. Saudi Arabia. Mecca. More than 550 pilgrims died in Mecca during the Hajj due to the heat wave.
The temperature in the Grand Mosque in Mecca reached 51.8 degrees centigrade on Monday. More than 2,000 pilgrims are being treated for heat-related problems.
