Campaign building to kingdom building

From the moment Gary found out that he would be a father, he felt God calling him to put his skills and expertise in building political campaigns to better use in building his kingdom. The first realization came through raising funds from friends and family to support his mission trip to South Africa. The overwhelming generosity from some surprising sources was a wake-up call for him about the potential for helping to facilitate community organizing around causes people care about.

Blessed with twins, he and his wife faced the biggest testament and the biggest test of their faith after learning that their daughter had a severe heart condition requiring immediate surgery. Nearly 8 weeks later, she went to be with the Lord. But God didn’t let him give in to the temptation of turning away. He led him through the grief with the strength to care for their son and eventually back to work through several ministries. Now he’s blessed him and his wife with another son.

In just the last couple of years, Gary's been involved with Pulse’s Together Movement, He Gets Us local partner OneHeartDC, Religious Freedom and Business Foundation, Faith Driven Entrepreneur, Heaven in Business, Cities Project Global, and other local ministries. Learning about the faith at work movement from the leaders of Christian Employee Resource Groups, Gary recognized the potential for the workplace to become the birthplace of spiritual revival.
