A woman who is lactose-intolerant is suing East Lansing-based Biggby Coffee

Leslie Bower filed the lawsuit yesterday and accused the coffee chain of violating the Americans with Disabilities Act because it charges between 50-cents and a dollar for oat milk, almond milk, coconut milk, and lactose-free milk. The lawsuit says Biggby has earned at least 50-million-dollars over several years from the "discriminatory and illegal levying of the surcharge." Biggby has roughly 400 stores in a dozen states.
