The Korean Legend of Hwanin, Hwanung, and Dangun

Long ago, Hwanin ruled the celestial realms. His son, Hwanung, wished to guide humans and, with Hwanin's blessing, descended to Earth with 3,000 followers. They settled on Mount Tebek, where they founded the celestial city of Shin. Hwanung taught humans agriculture, medicine, and technology. He granted the request of a bear and a tiger to become human, challenging them to fast for 100 days. The bear succeeded and transformed into Ango, becoming Hwanung's wife. Their son, Dangun, unified the people and founded the Kingdom of Gozon, marking an era of peace and prosperity
