Supercar showdown let’s goooo!

We’ve got our hands on the all-new Mercedes-AMG GT 63, and it’s going head-to-head against the almighty Porsche 911 Turbo S and the last ever internal combustion engine R8 to be produced - the Audi R8 GT!

So let’s see how these mighty machines compare! Starting with the AMG, it’s powered by a 4-litre twin-turbo V8 that can produce 585hp and 800Nm of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels via a 9-speed automatic gearbox, and it tips the scales at a rather heavy 2,130kg. It’s the cheapest car here at least, costing around £165,000.

Alongside it we have the Audi, which is powered by a 5.2-litre naturally-aspirated V10. This produces 620hp and 565Nm, and this power is sent to the rear wheels only via a 7-speed gearbox. It tips the scales at 1,570kg, and it’s the most expensive car here, setting you back around £200,000!

Then finally we have the 911. It’s powered by a glorious 3.8-litre twin-turbo flat-six, and this produces 650hp and 800Nm. Power is sent to all four wheels via an 8-speed automatic gearbox, it weighs in at 1,640kg, and it costs around £180,000.

So will it be a clean sweep for the Porsche? Or could the newer GT spring a surprise? There’s only one way to find out… LET’S RACE!
