(The Midnight Hunt)
*As Burn walks the smoldering remains of the Citadel his former sense of completion begins to fade into rage. Yes, the Old One and so many Corners of Midnight were finally vanquished but was it truly worth it if the single gem of the Darkened Earth, the shining city of light, was lost in the process? Suddenly, the cost of victory seems too great and Burns rage only grows stronger. It is then he realizes he is not alone. A man walks at his side, a man carrying his Ancient Axe thought lost in the fight against the Old One, a man who has many a survivor following a few steps behind. It is the High Father and Burn quickly directs his rage onto him. How could the High Father abandon the Citadel? How could he leave the throne of light? Burn has many a question to level at the High Father but he is quickly sent into silence when the High Father admits he never left. The High Father reveals he could be heard and seen by all who truly followed his will and that is why he has so many survivors with him now. But that is not all the High Father says. He also reveals that really he never told Burn and others he was the High Father he only ever said he was a door leading to the light of the Real Father and that the fall of the Citadel while bad can now bring about a new Citadel and a new earth where the Real Father will take one of three thrones that will never be hidden behind any door. This will happen and Burn can be there to see it if only he will believe [AI Art]*
