Sneaky German Shepherd Lets Friend In By Opening Screen Door

I don’t know why, even though I know better, but I am always surprised when dogs show off the talent for something that I know they can do. Like, just as an example off of the top of my head here, a dog who is able to open and close a screen door with the ease of a human doing so. We have seen videos of dogs doing these kinds of things before and we know that dogs trained for people with disabilities can accomplish any number of helpful skills.

There is just something that is so fascinated about a dog doing things that humans are capable of pulling off. My dog can open a screen door like this dog can but he also destroys the screen door when he does it because he bites at the screen to pull it. This talented German Shepherd is able to open the door using the frame and his paws. You can’t quite see it when he opens the door. But there is a better view when he goes back to close the video toward the end of the video.

I enjoy that he does it to let himself and his friend in the house. Of course, who knows if he was actually invited to come back in the house with his buddy, but the person filming clearly wasn’t bothered by it. They really only wanted the dog to close the door after him. I mean, it is rude to just leave the door wide open. There are flies that are trying to get in. I need to get my dog to close the door after he opens it.
