David Gilmour & Romany Gilmour - Between Two Points (Euphoric Extended Remix)

This is a beautiful track from David Gilmour's new album "Luck and Strange" with David Gilmour's daughter Romany Gilmour singing & playing the harp on this track "Between Two Points". She has a very lovely voice & is obviously talented, just like her famous dad.

As always, the guitar solo performed by David in this song is sublime and hauntingly beautiful and Romany's voice goes beautifully with it.

“I’ve had that song on my playlist since it was released,” David Gilmour explained in a press release. “More recently I mentioned it to one or two people: I assumed that it had been a hit, but no one knew it. I asked Romany to give it a go.”

"I realized that Romany has exactly the right sort of vulnerability and youth for the song,” he continued. “In fact, she was halfway through an essay with a train to catch when we asked her: ‘OK, I’ll sing it once, put the mic on’ and that is 90 percent of the finished vocal.”

David Gilmour has released a new single titled “Between Two Points.” This atmospheric reworking is a cover of the Montgolfier Brothers’ 1999 song and features David’s daughter, Romany Gilmour, on vocals and harp. The track will appear on David Gilmour’s upcoming album, “Luck and Strange,” set to be released on September 6, 2024. The haunting, psychedelic aesthetic of “Between Two Points” showcases Romany’s beautiful vocal phrasing and harp playing, while David Gilmour’s distinctive guitar adds a fresh dimension to the song.

Luck and Strange is the upcoming fifth studio album by the English guitarist and songwriter David Gilmour, set for release on 6 September 2024 by Sony Music. It was produced by Gilmour and Charlie Andrew. Gilmour said Andrew challenged him musically and was not intimidated by his past work with Pink Floyd.

Luck and Strange features contributions from Gilmour's family. His wife, the writer Polly Samson, wrote many of the lyrics, which she said addressed mortality and ageing. The album also features keyboards recorded in 2007 by the Pink Floyd keyboardist Richard Wright, who died in 2008. Gilmour is due to begin a tour in September.
