A Hauntingly Beautiful Female Face Emerges from an Old Garden

Having a coffee on the back porch became more than light conversation at a relative's place. Something in their old and tired garden caught my attention. An ethereal presence emerging from the heart of a tree stump that was sprouting new stems. The unmistakable form of a female face, serene and angelic, carved into the bark as if by divine hands stood out like a a three-dimensional (3D) bust. It changed in appearance whenever I got close to it and was nothing special, other than the disturbance of bark. However, when pulling back, it came to life and was became hauntingly beautiful.
