MARVEL AND MYSTERIES - Nightmare With The Spirit Of Religion!

The "night season" is a mystery in and of itself, and it can sometimes be frightening. God can bring warnings that are scary as Job's friend Eliphaz is recorded as saying the following about how God deals with people in dreams in Job 33:

14 For God does speak—now one way, now another—
though no one perceives it.
15 In a dream, in a vision of the night,
when deep sleep falls on people
as they slumber in their beds,
16 he may speak in their ears
and terrify them with warnings,
17 to turn them from wrongdoing
and keep them from pride,
18 to preserve them from the pit,
their lives from perishing by the sword

The enemy will try the reverse- he tries to scare us at night, not for our benefit, but to terrify us and attempt to keep us from pursuing the things of God. We must not allow fear to overcome us. 1 John 4:18 reads, There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love.
