⚓️🇷🇺 Pacific Fleet units deploy as part of planned bilateral exercise

18.06.24 - Units of the Pacific Fleet started to deploy from bases of operations to designated areas during the planned bilateral exercise, which is due to take place from 18 to 28 June in the waters of Pacific Ocean, Sea of Japan, and Sea of Okhotsk under leadership of the Pacific Fleet commander Admiral Victor Liina.

This year's drills take the form of a bilateral exercise, as it takes place between the Primorsky Fleet of the Diverse Forces of the Russian Federation and the joint command of troops and forces in the north-east of the Russian Federation.

At various stages, servicemen will practice anti-submarine operations, organise all kinds of naval defence of ships' units, launch joint missile strikes against mock enemy ships' groups, train to repel UAV and uncrewed surface vehicles attacks, perform a range of practical combat exercises.

📊Up to 40 ships, motorboats, and logistic vessels, up to 20 aircraft and helicopters of the Pacific Fleet Naval Aviation, including Tu-142MZ long-range anti-submarine aircraft, IL-38 and IL-38N aircraft, Ka-29 and Ka-27 helicopters in anti-submarine and search-and-rescue variations will be deployed during the bilateral drills.
