Storm Shield Forecast morning update 5/11/18

We have a Wind Advisory in effect for the Kern County mountain and desert locations from noon today through 10 p.m. Winds through Tehachapi will be west-northwest 20 to 40 mph today with gusts to 50 mph or potentially faster down into Mojave and fanning out into the rest of the desert with a chance of blowing dust. As for temperatures, the valley tops out close to average in the low to mid-80s today, with the mid-70s in the Kern River Valley, upper 60s in Frazier Park and low 60s in Tehachapi.
