Animals at the ZSL (Zoological Society of London) London Zoo woke up to an early set of Christmas surprises on Tuesday.

Western lowland gorillas opened their gift boxes and ate tasty vegetable treats from them.

Asiatic lions Bhanu and Arya, on the other hand, received nutmeg and cinnamon scented gift boxes.

Lioness Arya approached her gifts with caution, while Bhanu the lion chose to pounce straight onto his set, thus releasing the festive aromas.
