We have to open Quran and read translation and tafsir of Verse 95 of Surah Al Maidah, in which Allah Almighty said

O believers! Do not kill a victim in the state of Ihram, and if you kill it intentionally, then the reward for it is to give an animal of the same kind from among the cattle, whose likeness is judged by two trustworthy people than you. He should either give the food of a few poor people as expiation or fast equivalent to it, so that they would be satisfied with their work. Allah first forgave him and whoever does it again will take revenge from Allah and Allah, the avenger, will increase.
