Singer Justin Timberlake has been arrested in NewYork for driving while intoxicated, local officials have told the BBC.
The pop star was arrested and formally charged on Tuesday morning, the Suffolk County DistrictAttorney's Office said in a statement.
They declined to provide further details. The formermember of boyband NSYNC was arrested in SagHarbor, an affluent village in the Hamptons and apopular summer destination for celebrities on Long Island.
He was released without bail after being formallycharged, the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office said.
