Cooling centers are open throughout Michigan to help people deal with the heatwave

Pontiac Mayor Tim Greimel says the cooling centers are needed and it's not just for the elderly or people in poor health. People without air conditioning are being encouraged to seek out a cooling center. Most are open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. all week.
