Bundutec Roof Top Tent - The perfect apartment for our Unimog!

In the past, we have owned a Darche Panorama RTT that was mounted to our Ex Army Trailer. It was pretty good but when putting it up and down it required you to tuck away a large amount of canvas etc to get the cover on.

The Unimog, being so tall, required something different. The only solution for us that is available off the shelf is the tent shown below.

Now, we can deploy the tent in less than 20 seconds (once the latches are undone) The hardest part of the deployment and pack up is the latches which require us to reach them with a ladder. It's still pretty easy and really quick.

The tent has 2 12v fans and a nice bright light for reading. The mattress is quite firm but with the addition of a mattress topper has been providing very comfortable sleeps... more comfy than our mattress at home.

We have also added a condensation mat to reduce the buildup of condensation under the mattress. (works brilliantly) We purchased it from Road Tech Marine in Cannington.
