GAY: “I wish I could sit in on the debate prep. I mean, I don’t know who is playing Donald Trump, but there is a lot of theater at play and a lot of work that’s going to be done. I mean, I actually think that the rules do favor the audience, most importantly, to get the best sense for Americans of where these two men stand and what their differences are. I actually, I have a background in tabloids and I think sometimes we forget that it can be very damaging if a candidate doesn’t have a quick and good and clear answer and isn’t able to deliver that in a short amount of time.
