As of late we have been witnessing megachurch pastors stepping down from their pulpits. Either past or present sins caught up with them. There are some megachurch pastors that still command their pulpits without any remorse.

I will admit that there is an initial shock wave when the news breaks. You can hear collective gasps simultaneously around the world. Then afterwards, "there is war in the camp." All the "Christians" go to violent war with each other over it.

I thought of the words from Hebrews 12:27:

"And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain."

Many say it is of the devil that this is happening. There is no doubt in my mind the devil is involved, but keep in mind the Lord allowed it to happen. Remember the Lord is not in need. He is not in need of single congregations of 100, 000 people. He is not interested in never ending book sales. He is not moved by big tithes and offerings. As well as marvelous programs and expensive multimillion dollar paychecks.

IF any of these men are His men, then there is nothing to worry about. They will have their time with the Lord and it may be they will never return to their pulpits. Then we will say it is God's will and thank Him for it because we do not follow men but God.

This is the time to keep yourselves focused on the Lord, and "to keep oneself unspotted from this world." Finally, keep in mind that if God allows something to happen He has an excellent reason and purpose for it even if you do not understand it.

Remember you follow a Conqueror.

"Have you been asking God what He is going to do? He will never tell you. God does not tell you what He is going to do; He reveals to you Who He is.”
~ Oswald Chambers
