WHITE WOMAN STANDS UP FOR BLACK GUY

How often have US police got away with racial-profiling and wrongful arrest? In this video that’s emerged online, we see what appears to be another example - but with a difference: a White woman bystander calls out the cops for their alleged racism as they question a Black man. She says he was in fact the victim, as earlier a group of White men had accosted him - but the police let them get away and treated him as the suspect instead. It’s unclear how this situation played out, but let’s hope her intervention did some good.

According to data compiled by the Washington Post, Black people in America are more than twice as likely as White people to be killed by the police. Of 1,161 fatal police shootings in the US in 2023, 236 of the victims were Black. (Bear in mind that only 14% of the US population is Black.)
