Trisha was born in Colorado and raised in District 4, attended Douglas County Public Schools, before earning a full academic scholarship to Johns Hopkins. As speechwriting director at the AFL-CIO, Trisha was at the forefront of shaping messaging that led to the landmark bipartisan infrastructure law, the Inflation Reduction Act, and the bipartisan Chips and Science Act. As a card-carrying member of the American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) with the U.S. National Science Foundation, Trisha worked to reshore and revitalize American manufacturing and innovation. A family emergency changed everything. She returned to her hometown, Highlands Ranch, to provide end-of-life care for her parents. They both had cancer and passed away last fall, days apart.
