Detroit piled up 421 total yards as RB Barry Sanders ran for 147 yards and scored two touchdowns. QB Bob Gagliano threw for 248 yards and three touchdowns to pace the Lions' passing attack. Denver QB John Elway (24-of-37, 243 yards, 1 int.) brought the Broncos within seven points before Detroit PK Eddie Murray booted his third and fourth field goals of the game to seal the victory for the Lions.
