King Solomon’s Mines, Deborah Kerr, Stewart Granger, and Richard Carlson, is a 1950 Technicolor adventure film directed by Compton Bennett and Andrew Marton, and the second film adaptation of the 1885 novel of the same name by Henry Rider Haggard.

The film follows the story of Allan Quartermain (Stewart Granger), a British adventurer, who leads an expedition into uncharted African territory to locate an explorer who went missing during his search for the fabled diamond mines of King Solomon. The team faces numerous challenges and dangers as they navigate through the African wilderness, including treacherous terrain, wild animals, and rival treasure hunters.

The film was shot on location in Africa, with scenes filmed in Carlsbad National Park’s New Cave and other locations in the United States. The production team used a convoy of Dodge trucks to transport equipment over 70,000 miles, making it one of the largest and most ambitious film productions of its time.
