Gordon Ramsey Shows Off His Horrific Injury After Nearly Dying In A Cycling Accident

Posted • June 16, 2024: Gordon Ramsay has revealed that he nearly died in a horrific cycling accident this week. The celebrity chef, 57, told his 17.4 million Instagram followers to 'wear a helmet', as his saved his life in the crash, which took place while he was in America. In the video, Gordon lifted up his chef's jacket to reveal his injuries, which showed one side of his body covered in black and purple bruising. He captioned the post: 'With #FathersDay tomorrow I have very important message for all the dads out there…WEAR A HELMET! This week I had a really bad accident while riding my bike in Connecticut. 'I'm doing ok and did not break any bones or suffer any major injuries but I am a bit bruised up looking like a purple potato.'

He added: 'I'm thankful for all the doctors, nurses and staff at Lawerence + Memorial Hospital in New London who looked after me and checked me out, but most thankful for my helmet that saved my life. Have a great Father's Day and be safe Gx.' Speaking in the clip, Gordon stressed the importance of wearing a helmet and admitted the accident 'really shook me', adding: 'Honestly, I'm lucky to be here.' As he continued to share what happened, his hands twitched anxiously and he confessed he was 'in pain'.
