We didn’t quite finish last time, and I’ve updated the notes. I hope this helps. The Gospels (technically known as “the four-fold gospel” because there is only one gospel) are the most difficult section of Scripture because you have three things going on; Israel, the Kingdom, the Church. It’s how the Gospels explain the movement from Israel and the offer of the Kingdom to the Church that leads people to be confused about which passages apply to Israel and which to the Church. All this is background ultimately for Christ’s ascension, session, exaltation, and the pouring out of the Spirit on Pentecost to begin the Church.
