South Africa's parliament has re-elected CyrilRamaphosa as the country's president following alandmark coalition deal between the governing AfricanNational Congress and opposition parties.

The new government of national unity combines Mr Ramaphosa's ANC, the centre-right Democratic Alliance and smaller parties.

In his victory speech, Mr Ramaphosa hailed the newcoalition, and said voters expected the leaders to "toact and to work together for the good of everyone in our country".
